Current Class Schedule:
Nia (A fusion of cardiovascular exercise, dance, and whole-body conditioning for
all fitness levels)
Thursday, 6:20 p.m.
"As a child, I had severe asthma, which prevented me from participating in sports,
dance, or any other physical activities. After I graduated from college, I decided
I was tired of my condition controlling my life, so I joined a gym and worked
out with the help of a trainer. It was hard and progress was slow, but I saw
improvements in my breathing.
I loved the results I was experiencing so much I decided to pursue a dream I had
since childhood: I started taking dance lessons. I studied ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical,
and belly dance. My strength continued to improve! Physical activity, once
something in which I could not participate, had now become my passion. I wanted
to help and inspire others to move, love their bodies, and get healthy. Since that
discovery, I've been studying and earning my certifications to teach a variety of
fitness techniques.
I love what I do for a living and am so grateful I found fitness and teaching. The
joy I feel every time I teach a class is overwhelming! My students inspire me every
day. I hope I am able to inspire them as well."
