"To truly be fit, one must understand how the human body works, starting with the brain and how it connects to every part of the body. With this knowledge, a healthy, fit mind and body can prevail."Bio: Personal Trainer Kathleen is determined to find the method that works best for each of her clients and use it to help them achieve fitness goals they never thought possible. She brings with her extensive experience. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Sports Studies with a Minor in Psychology from Rutgers University. She earned her personal training certification from the American Council on Exercise, and has functioned as a Personal Trainer and Fitness Supervisor/Manager since 1998.
Kathleen specializes in pre-/post-natal exercise programs, understanding that one of the biggest challenges to such workouts is the "time crunch." She strives to combine the science of exercise physiology with individual's workout preferences to develop a program that is both effective and efficient. Her clients get the most out of each minute on the Exercise Floor. In addition, Kathleen's fitness expertise expands to help those suffering from arthritis, experiencing posture issues, functioning post-rehab, and dealing with the challenges of breast cancer recovery.
Formerly, Kathleen provided tennis and swim instruction for children and adults. She participated in track and field distance events, and was the High Jump State Champion. In her free time, she enjoys running, stroller walks, and outdoor play with her children and dog. She indulges in pizza and chocolate, knowing her time on the Exercise Floor works.
Kathleen loves hearing about people's lives, learning what they perceive as their exercise limitations, and impacting their world when she demonstrates how they, too, can experience a healthier lifestyle.
