Specialty: Functional training; nutritional counseling "It is truly a joy to help our members achieve their fitness goals. It's never too late to start." Bio: Deb considers herself a longtime exercise enthusiast transformed into a personal trainer. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Loyola University Chicago. She also earned her personal training certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and a health coaching certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition affiliated with Purchase College, State University of New York. Currently, she is continuing her studies at the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. With motivation, patience, and compassion, Deb "coaches" her clients to improve themselves through fitness. She creates exercise programs that include free weights, functional training, body weight exercises, circuit training, and cardio improvement techniques. She describes her training routines as "lovingly tough." In her free time, Deb enjoys challenging workouts, musical theater, cooking with her husband, playing Scrabble, playing tennis, watching football (Go, Bears!), and attending her daughter's stage performances. Her favorite food is sautéed spinach with mushrooms, garlic, and onions. Fun fact: Deb can write complete sentences in script backwards for viewing in the mirror. Imagine what she can accomplish on the Exercise Floor! For Deb, helping members accomplish their goals is a true joy. Her motto is, "It's never too late!". |
