A huge success, winners of the Biggest Center Loser contest share their joy!
This challenge has meant a great deal to me. After more than a decade of concentrating on everyone and everything else (kids, work, and so forth), I’m finally investing in myself. The challenge gave me the perfect jumpstart to the process. It got me into gear in a big way. I’m so grateful to have been a part of it. Thank you again for providing this opportunity to push myself to the fullest extent, and to learn how far I can make it!
Janet Weber-McCarthy, 1st Place Winner

I was undecided about committing to this contest, but a couple of very friendly staff members convinced me I had nothing to lose but weight. I thought, “Why not!” I was struggling to lose “pregnancy pounds” over the past year, and I figured this would give me some extra motivation. My end-result was a win-win situation. Even if I hadn’t won a place in the competition, I knew that I won with my personal fitness goals. In just seven weeks, I lost a significant amount of weight and completed fitness challenges I didn't think I could handle, especially the Last Chance Workout and the triathlon. I would definitely do the challenge all over again! Jo Hansen, 2nd Place Winner |

I am heading into summer with something worth more than the $100 Fit Bucks I won. I got to meet some fantastic people of all backgrounds, with whom I hope to keep in contact. Through the contest, I had the perfect motivation to jump out of bad final-exam-week habits right when exams ended. Now, I have a level of discipline and enthusiasm for fitness that I never had before. As a result, I understand this type of challenge is never really only seven weeks long. Rather, it is life-long. |
