Sharing the Pool
If there are two swimmers in the lane they can split the lane into two halves and each swim on one side. If we have more than two swimmers in one lane they must follow a circle swim staying to the right. They can also pass each other while swimming if one is faster than the other. Aqua classes with more than 10 participants will utilize 3 lanes.
Aqua Classes
We offer a variety of water aerobic classes. The schedule and description of these classes can be found at the front desk. Class size will be limited to 20 participants for your safety and comfort. All classes held in the pool require pre-registration.
Swim Lessons
We provide instruction to help swimmers and non-swimmers ages 4 and older develop abiliites in their swimming and water saftey skills. Private and Semi-Private lesson packages are available. Lessons are scheduled at your convenience.
Competitve Stroke Swim, Age: 6-9 years
Speed past the other guppies! Competitive stroke training sessions are aimed at refining competitive strokes, improving endurance, strength, and speed through a variety of drills.
Competitive Stroke Swim, Age: 10 or Older
Take it to the next level... become a barracuda! This course is for those who want to improve their strength and timing for competition.
Silver Splashers, Age: 55 or Older
What are you waiting for? The swimming pool is a great place to exercise. So, grab your swimsuit! Learn proper stroke techniques so you are comfortable in the water.
Parent & Me Class, Length: 30 minutes, Ages: 4 months - 3 years
For all those tadpoles out there... let's make a splash! Parent & Me class helps children become familiar with the water and learn the basics. This class is fun for both the kids and the parents.
Master Swim
Attention triathletes and competitive swimmers! If you want to do better, Master Swim is perfect for improving your strokes and developming endurance. Prerequisite: Must be able to swim 400 yards.
Scuba Diving Class
Do you want to feel the freedom of the warm, clear, tropical water as you swoop effortlessly through the water, not held back by the need to return to the surface? Become certified as an open water diver through the scuba program.
*Most Aquatic Programs necessitate a fee not included in Membership, however Members receive a discounted rate.
Water Safety Instructor, Ages: 16 years & up
Whether you want to splash around with kids and teach them to swim, help children or adults refine their strokes, or teach diving safety techniques, you can do it as an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor. Qualified instructors can also help prepare swim coaches to prevent and respond to emergency situations. Prerequisite: Must be able to swim 500 yards & perform all four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breast stroke, and butterfly).
Lifeguard Training, Ages: 15 years & up
Are you 15 or older and looking for a great summer job or a challenging career? American Red Cross Lifeguarding is the best place to start! Lifeguarding puts you in an exciting position, working as part of a team to help people safely enjoy the water. Prerequisite: Swim 300 yards, remove 10 pound weight from 7ft. of water, and swim 10 yards with the weight.
CPR/AED
American Red Cross first aid, CPR, and AED programs are designed to give you the confidence to respond in an emergency situation with skills that can save a life. Learn how to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults and children. Become familiar with the use and safe operation of an Automated External Defibrilator for victims of cardiac arrest.
